Picture this… Marrying your best friend and college sweetheart, at your dream wedding, with the people you love surrounding you. Sounds pretty magical, right? Our sweet couple Arianna + Nick got to live this out last summer, and we haven’t stopped day dreaming of it since!
Arianna and Nick were both attending UCI when they met through the schools greek system. After having to collaborate to plan an event Arianna told us, “We found that we enjoyed each other’s company and could work really well as a team. After that, it seemed so natural for us to continue spending time together, and as they say…the rest is history!” In October of 2019, Nick popped the question! With family and friends watching, “He then got down on one knee, with a beautiful ring in hand and asked me to marry him. I said...“YES!!!!”" and from there, the wedding planning began!
We asked Arianna what her favorite part of wedding planning was and she told us, “My favorite part of wedding planning was being able to go through the process with my mom. She is my best friend and I have always dreamed of us working together to create my dream wedding. Although it wasn't always easy, we worked together to make the most memorable day. I truly couldn't have done it without all her support.”
Their wedding day was nothing less than perfection!
Held at Valley Vista Country Club in Southern California, filled with whimsical greenery and white blooms, all of the details worked together to bring to life Arianna and Nicks wedding vision!
“My favorite moment from the day was when my father walked me down the aisle.” Arianna told us. “My father was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, MS, in March of 2000.” she went on to say, “one of his and our family's concerns about the future was, Will I (he) be able to walk my little girl down the aisle?” But, MS did not stop him! “It showed how strong of a man my father is and how he truly defeated all odds. I am beyond lucky to have him as my father and role model.”
“To future brides: Remember, your wedding day is about you and your future spouse. It's easy to get lost in the moment between planning and prepping for the big day. Everyone's experience is different so try not to compare your journey to another bride. Focus on what you want, not what everyone else thinks you need or is popular on social media. There will be small bumps during your big day and everything will be ok.”
“A friend gave my husband and me the most valuable advice for our wedding day. Take a moment to step away with your spouse and observe everyone that came to support the two of you. My husband and I went to the second floor to watch our guests having the time of their lives on the dance floor. We got to take a moment away from the crowd and realize how lucky we were to have all the love and support. It wasn't more than 5 minutes, but it was worth it.”
